Ode to wind
Wind,
Forbearer of storms
Clear and pristine
As dazzling as the stars
Motionless from afar
Gusts,
Rushing tempests,
Roving gales,
Reveries of zephyr
Pristine and pale
As the currents wash over me
Your embrace, soft as silk
The breeze against my hair
I can almost feel you there
An elegant dance
Skin soft and fair
I could dance alongside you
For eternity, without a care
You are all that I know
All that I love
Fleeting as you drift
The empyrean from above
Merrily you smile,
One no man could defile,
Elysian eyes serene tears,
A pair no god would revile
Exaltation analysis
The wind, something we all know of whether from love or hate. To me, wind is more than a force, but rather, also a concept in a way. When I feel down, I occasionally take strolls outside. The wind always greets me with care, and It does so with great elegance. It gives me some strength to continue living. Without gentle breezes, I'd be quite lost by now. It represents undying hope even at the end of my wits. This is why i chose to write an ode honoring the winds themselves, albeit, in a slightly romanticized fashion.
