Voluntary Subservience

At first, I thought I was raising a cute, cuddly bunny as a caring companion... Little did I know, I became her slave.

(Her name's Hazel.)

I learned too late that all domestic rabbits should be neutered. This decreases chances of related cancer and improves their behavior (excretion wise, at the very least), but that's besides the point.

I made this post to discuss raising rabbits (and show off my luxurious bunny) as I like them and I think they're adorable. What I've found is they are very clean animals. She brushes her fur immediately after the slightest touch. She destroys everything else, though. Rabbits like to dig and chew, and her paws are always red as a result.

(Cleaning her coat)

Time is something you're expected to give up for their demands, but most rabbit owners are understandably fine with this, including me, as I'd happily wager my soul to see her leap with vigor. For meals, Hazel likes to eat greens, though hay/dried grass should be all pet bunny's primary source of nutrients.

That's all I have to say for now. I'll post more pictures when she isn't digging somewhere off in the distance. (she'll eat you when you're sleeping...)
